"People say that Greenhouse Effect music is all about being a one hit wonder and that "Brandy" is our only big song and it's really only big because it's been in so many surfing videos over the years,...but the bottom line and reality is the fact that it's a great song,...our whole catalogue of music is great and it goes excellent with surfing ,...Our music was literally created to 'be' with Surfing,... we go with it better than any other band in the world and people can see that!." There was a time back in the South bay where virtually all the local musicians wanted to hang out with Haggins and be associated with him, often having dinners with him and his dad at 251 Paseo De Gracia from 1987 until 1992 when Nirvana suddenly hit the scene and Hagins' future evaporated quickly; "People all know that I was one of the earliest indie grunge rockers - if not 'THE' ONE , mailing my shit to Sub Pop, alternative tenticles, and SSt records and everywhere,..we just 'knew' that we had something,..we had grande ideas to make it,..and then suddenly, we were as extinct as heavy metal,..it was a damn shame,...but the internet has brought it all back now" Says the rocker.
